Third graders wrote thank you letters to custodians after learning about community, and in honor of National Custodian Day! 1st and 2nd grade art students at Harrison Park Elementary School used hot glue guns, mixed media and wooden spoons to create their upcycled spoon monster. These freakishly cute monsters are displayed in the showcase to create a "spooktacular" display. Mrs. Hoffman’s class at Harrison Park participated in an Inquiry Activity called “The Moving Ball”. Students were trying to determine how the height of a ramp would affect the speed of a ping pong ball. This doubled as a great lesson in telling time and finding averages! Students used what they knew about plant traits to make the offspring of two parent plants. Each flower ended up being unique! |
